What is the difference between oceanfront and ocean view?
An oceanfront condo or beach home is exactly as it sounds - it is located directly on the beach, with no obstructing views of the ocean. An ocean view condo or beach home could be a side unit of an oceanfront property, meaning your unit might also have a view of the pool or street, in addition to the ocean on one side. An ocean view property is typically right across the street from the beach, and is within easy walking distance.
What is "ocean oriented?"
Ocean oriented is typically a term that refers to our beach homes that are across the street from the beach, or within 300 yards from the beach. You can still easily access the beach from these properties.
Where do I check into my condo and what time?
Reservations are normally Saturday-Saturday during the summer and some weeks during the spring and fall. Please inquire about other check-in days. Off-season there is a three (3) night minimum except for holidays. Check-in is after 3 pm. Check-in at our office, not the condominium complex. Any arrivals after 5 pm please follow late arrival instructions. Check-out is before 10 am. Please lock the unit and bring the keys back to the Condo-World office.
What is departure maid service?
Departure maid service is included in your rental rate, and means that you do not have to worry about doing any extensive cleaning before you depart from your unit. We do ask that you empty your trash and put your dishes in the dishwasher, and you must return your keys to the Condo-World office.
Are linens included in the rental unit?
All linen (bed and bath) and departure cleaning are included. There will be enough linen for the maximum occupancy only. Daily maid service is available for \$25/bedroom/day requested.
Are the units equipped with irons, ironing boards, hair dryers?
All of our units are equipped with irons and ironing boards, but most do not have hairdryers.
Are trash bags, hand and dish soap, and tissue provided?
Yes, you will be provided with enough of these items to get started. If you do run out, you can purchase these items at one of the many local grocery stores.
Are BBQ grills provided?
Most condominium buildings and all private beach homes have a grill provided. Please check the specific amenities listed for each rental.
Do the units have internet access?
Most units do have wireless internet - this will be indicated on the units’ page on our website. If a unit does not have internet, the Condo-World reception office offers a wireless connection for your convenience.
May I pay my final balance by credit card?
Yes! We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for the deposit and the final balance. We also accept personal checks (if received more than 30 days prior to arrival), bank checks, or money orders.
What is your deposit/payment policy?
The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. The credit card used for the deposit will automatically be charged for the balance. You must call before the due date to make other arrangements. Personal checks must be received more than 30 days prior to arrival. Otherwise we accept certified funds, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Returned checks will incur a \$30 bank fee. Payments may be made online.
What is your cancellation policy?
If we are able to re-rent the unit for the same dates and rent amount we will refund monies paid less a \$100 cancellation fee. Refunds will be adjusted for re-rentals of fewer nights and/or less rent amount. If the unit is not re-rented and Travel Insurance was not purchased the monies paid is non-refundable or transferable. Please contact CSA at 800-554-9839 for coverage details and claims process.
What is the accidental damage waiver fee?
The Accidental Damage Waiver does not negate your responsibility as a tenant. The damage waiver is limited to a maximum coverage of \$1000 for all guests staying in the property (not to exceed maximum occupancy). Each guest will be covered by this waiver and will not be obligated to pay for accidental loss or damage to the rental unit or its contents. This does not include intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful conduct. Loss of use, guest’s personal property, rental equipment brought in from an outside company, damage caused by a violation of Rules and Regulations, and any damage caused to outside of the property or common areas are not covered.
What is not allowed?
No smoking, pets, house parties, group rentals - which include high school, college, or other non-family groups. We rent to families and responsible adults only. Any evidence of smoking or pets in the unit will result in a minimum \$150 cleaning fee. ---- NO HOUSE PARTIES!
How do I find your office?
Condo-World is located at 300 17th Avenue South in the city of North Myrtle Beach. Please do not confuse this with the northern end of Myrtle Beach . There are mile markers on Hwy 17 business and bypass. 17th Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach is located between mile markers 211 and 212. Traveling from Hwy 9 exit on Hwy 17 South. Travel on Hwy 17 South until you reach 17th Avenue South and turn left. Traveling from Hwy 501 take Hwy 22 to North Myrtle Beach and exit on to Hwy 17 North. Travel on Hwy 17 North to 17th Avenue South and turn right. Condo-World’s office is located one block from the ocean on the left.
Where can I rent beach chairs and umbrellas? What if I'm bringing a baby and need a crib or stroller?
