Myrtle Beach Condo Rentals Blog: August 2009
Myrtle Beach Condo Rentals Blog
Keep up with the latest news and specials on Myrtle Beach condo rentals in sunny Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
As summer is quickly coming to a close, we're looking ahead to our winter vacation rentals program. Many of our guests who visit us in the summer come back for 3-6 months in the winter to avoid the cold and snowy conditions at home. The off season in Myrtle Beach is a great time to enjoy the Grand Strand, and not be bothered by lots of crowds and high temperatures. And the best part is, our winter vacation rentals are VERY affordable - as low as $749 a month! This includes utilities up to $100 cap, cable/internet, water, etc. If you'd like to check out our inventory, view our Winter Rentals page.
After our guests depart their Condo-World accommodation, they are emailed an online comment form to fill out. Over the years, we've collected A LOT of comment forms...and luckily for us, we get A LOT of GREAT comments from our awesome customers! We'd like to start a new program to show our appreciation to our valued guests. We will be posting an online comment from one of our recent guests once a week. If you've stayed with Condo-World over the last 2 years and would like to tell us about how great your experience was, please email us at info@condoworldresorts.com. In exchange for your helpful comments, we will send you a coupon for $50 off your 2010 reservation!
Set to open on August 31st, the Main Street Connector will link Highway 31 to the mid section of Highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach. Currently, those traveling on 31 have to get off either right before the Myrtle Beach Mall or all the way up in Cherry Grove, and decide which is a closer route to their destination. The Main Street Connector will be a huge help to traffic problems for both tourists and residents, and will also help our local economy. Check out this article from The Sun News for more info!
Condo-World and PlayMyrtleBeach.com offer the best selection of luxury accommodations and INCREDIBLE golf packages...at the lowest prices, too. At the request of many of our customers, we've brought back the Great Myrtle Beach Golf Giveaway. This year, we're giving away FREE Golf, FREE Nights, and FREE oceanfront condo upgrades. 3 Nights/3 Rounds for the price of 2 Nights/2 Rounds as low as $169/golfer...check out our golf website, PlayMyrtleBeach.com, for more information!
On Wednesday, August 12th, US Airways announced they will be adding daily nonstop flights from Myrtle Beach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (and vice versa) starting in 2010. This is great news for Myrtle Beach tourism as well as for our business community. Residents of the DC/Northern Virginia travel about 8-9 hours to get to Myrtle Beach by vehicle. Although we do see a good amount of travelers from this area, many of these residents choose to visit Virginia Beach, Maryland, or Delaware beaches as those are within a 3 hour drive. Myrtle Beach's year round population has grown substantially over the past 10 years, which has led to growth and development of local business. Direct access to the Nation's capital will help Myrtle Beach continue to grow in popularity as a top destination as well as a vibrant business community. Check out The Sun News article for more information!
Over the past year or so, there's been much discussion about the planned Myrtle Beach Boardwalk that is now set to begin construction in the very near future. Tourists and residents alike agree the Boardwalk could be what Myrtle Beach has been missing all these years - an iconic attraction that connects businesses along the oceanfront and creates "downtown atmosphere" beyond just a street full of hotels and condos. Initiated by the Downtown Redevelopment Corporation, the Boardwalk is set to begin construction as soon as September, pending all final agreements. Roof top bars, street performers, sidewalk cafes, and a variety of shops are all part of the vision for this project. If all goes according to plan, the Boardwalk could be completed by Easter of 2010. Check back with us for updates as construction moves along! Photos courtesy of The Sun News.
