The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee has a number of events planned for January 14-16 to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Activities include:

11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14 — Brown Bag Lunch, Myrtle Beach Train Depot
4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14 — Gospel and Classic Melodies Concert, Myrtle Beach Train Depot
5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15 — “Civil Rights Sunday:  A Day of Reflections,” Sandy Grove Baptist Church
8:00 a.m., Monday, January 16 — Corporate and Community Awards Breakfast, featuring Congressman Tim Scott, Canal Street Recreation Center
11:00 a.m., Monday, January 16 — Dr. Martin Luther King Grand Parade, Eighth Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard to 19th Avenue North and Kings Highway
